What are your top 3 priorities for county commission?
“I think the first thing is ending the current notion that the county and the city are two different places. There seems to be an increase in the binary notion that the county and city are at odds. I think more work between county and city officials with more public involvement in both city counsel and county commission could go a long way toward healing that divide.”
What would you do as a commissioner to help the city and county work together toward a shared vision?

What can the county commission do to ensure that development reflects the needs and input of our communities?
“I think one thing would be finding new ways to reach out to residents other than just traditional media. While it is helpful that the Times Free Press and Chattanoogan are open to posting upcoming dates and times for meetings, this might miss younger people or people with young families who do not engage in traditional news coverage.”
What is your most unpopular opinion?
“I don't like Pixar movies except Ratatouille. But I like Ratatouille because it has the same basic message that all the Dreamworks movies have which is family are the people who love you and care for you. I tend to feel that Pixar gets so caught up in making a point (and to make me cry) that they often lose the point they are trying to make.”
