What are your top 3 priorities for county commission?
“1. Responsible Growth 2. Strong Public Schools 3. Transparency and Accessibility”
What would you do as a commissioner to help the city and county work together toward a shared vision?
“I’d bring the right people together in the same room to have these conversations. Planning, schools, roads, infrastructure, public safety, and community leaders all need to be talking to one another. When everyone is at the table, we can identify challenges, find solutions, and make better decisions for the future of Hamilton County.”
What can the county commission do to ensure that development reflects the needs and input of our communities?
“Ask the people who live there. I would hold town halls throughout District 1, especially in areas affected by major projects, so residents know what’s being proposed, what’s already been approved, and what’s still being considered. I would also invite the planners, developers, and decision makers involved to attend and answer questions directly from residents. People deserve a voice and honest answers before decisions are made.”
What is your most unpopular opinion?
“I think elected officials should spend more time listening and less time talking. The people living with the consequences of decisions often know more about the problem than the people making the decisions.”
