Chattanooga City Council meets every Tuesday afternoon starting at 3:30pm followed by a regular meeting after the business meeting in the City Council Building.

At the end of each Council business meeting, members of the public may address the Council regarding matters within the authority of the Council. Each speaker shall be recognized only at the microphone and has a maximum of three minutes to speak. Speakers do not need to register ahead of time.
